Description
Si crystals exhibit good light transmittance in the 1-7μm wavelength range, and are commonly used as substrates for 3-5μm mid-wave infrared optical windows and optical filters. Monocrystalline silicon features excellent thermal conductivity and low density, making it a frequently used material for manufacturing laser mirrors.
