The Fujikura PCS-100 / PCS-100L is designed specifically for stripping optical fibers with polyimide coating.
Under controlled tension, the blade acts on the fiber surface and automatically removes the coating with high precision. This process is significantly faster than conventional acid etching or thermal stripping methods.
Because no chemicals are used, operation is safer and cleaner. In addition, the glass surface is not exposed to oxidation caused by burning, helping maintain a high level of fiber reliability.
After stripping, the boundary between the coating and the fiber forms a tapered edge, which is beneficial for subsequent fiber processing.
Key Features Designed for polyimide-coated optical fibers Fast, safe, and automated stripping process No chemical treatment required Reduces the risk of oxidation on the glass surface Helps maintain high fiber reliability Produces a tapered coating edge after stripping Supports stable and precise coating removal Model Note Tension test function is not installed on the PCS-100L. Important Safety Notice
